Licensing Process

Obtaining a Real Estate License

Interested in a "Full Time" career in Real Estate? Obtaining a real estate license in our province may not be difficult, if you know what to expect, and can fulfill the requirements. How you get a real estate license will vary from province to province but will usually involve minimum age requirements, certain education and/or experience requirements, applications and fees, and other specific details. So you must be sure that you know the relevant information before you get too deep in preparing for your real estate exam.

In Ontario, a minimum requirement to joining a real estate brokerage as a sales representative is to have already completed the necessary courses from Humber College and completed the registration process with the Real Estate Council of Ontario.

Once your licensed and have joined a brokerage, you also require post-licensing coursework within 2 years after you earn your license; and require continuing education throughout your career to keep your license active.
